Sometimes your friends are the best source of inspiration!

I am lucky enough to know so many wonderful creative people with unique artistic perspectives. I am thrilled to be collaborating with them in transforming their art into textile patterns.

Check back soon for the finished collections using the work of these talented artists.

Lemia Bodden

Lemia is an extremely talented photographer whose has a unique ability to frame a moment and capture visual magic wherever she points her camera. She has an eye for pattern as I do and I couldn't be more excited to transform some of her stunning photographs into a line of textile patterns.

David Bell

David is one of the most amazing artists I know. His ability to capture moods, personalities, atmospheres and textures with simple or intricate sketches is stunning. Each work demonstrates incredible imagination and perception. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to combine David's sketches into a pattern collection.

In addition to his incredible ongoing sketchbook and visual art, David is a director, animator, and sculptor.

Lindsay Manolakos

Lindsay is a painter whose work shows the beauty of the cosmos and the joy of human experience. Her oil paintings incorporate vibrant color and unbelievable textural depth. One square inch of each painting contains an enormous amount of detail and visual complexity. The wonderful energy and exuberance of Lindsay's personality shines through each piece.

The print collection is going to be a painterly journey through the universe from these rich canvases.

Edward Richardson

Ed built and programmed a device that averages the values of all pixels in each frame of Star Wars Episode IV into one color pixel per frame of the movie.

The resulting pixels are combined sequentially into the incredible layered image you can see below. Scenes of the movie set in the desert, or fight scenes the blackness of space are demonstrated when the average color pixels are sequenced in a grouping of color. In this way, you can follow the story of the iconic movie in a an abstract way.

The artwork is a goldmine for pattern as its beauty reads at many different scales and its color palette is rich and varied.
